At CinemaCon earlier this year Samsung formally introduced its Onyx LED cinema screen and immediately questions were raised about sound. Many people questioned how good could the sound be without loudspeakers centered behind the screen?
In a newly released white paper, Samsung makes the case that the traditional behind-the-screen placement of loudspeakers was never ideal and that the advent of LED screens enables the industry to rethink where to place loudspeakers in a theatre to create the best possible sound experience.
