Kino Arena to Open Four MX4D Auditoriums in Bulgaria
Kino Arena and MediaMation have signed an agreement to open four MX4D auditoriums in Bulgaria. The first installation is scheduled for an early fall opening in The Mall of Sofia.

Kino Okko to Open Russia’s First Dolby Cinema
United Cinema Chain Kino Okko will be the first company to introduce the Dolby Cinema experience to the Russian market at its Cinema Park Metropolis in Moscow. Dolby Atmos immersive audio technology has been successfully deployed at several Russian movie theatres in recent years.
B&B Theatres Opens Worlds First ScreenX Amphitheater
CJ 4DPlex, together with B&B Theatres, have launched the world’s first ScreenX Amphitheater in Overland Park, Kansas inside B&B Overland Park 16. The newly arranged auditorium, which marks the second largest ScreenX theater in the world will open with Warner Bros. Pictures’ It Chapter Two on Friday, September 6th.
4DX with ScreenX Drawing Record Crowds
The July 19 opening of CJ 4DPlex 4DX with ScreenX at the Grand Cinema Sunshine in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, of Sony Pictures' Spider-Man: Far From Home, extended its run by four weeks due to sold out screenings during prime-time slots and recording attendance rates as high as 99 percent during peak showing times. In China, 4DX with ScreenX attendance numbers also soared, with occupancy rates doubling that of standard 2D formats for Spider-Man: Far From Home.
B&B Theatres to Add Five ScreenX Auditoriums
B&B Theatres, the sixth largest theatre chain in North America, is adding five additional CJ 4DPlex ScreenX auditoriums across the U.S., for a total of seven by 2020. The companies partnered last year to introduce the largest ScreenX system in the world, a screen that is more than four stories tall and seven stories wide, offering moviegoers one of the most premium, immersive viewing experiences in history.
THX Releases New Deep Note Trailer
THX has released a new Deep Note trailer to commemorate the company’s 35th anniversary. In addition to the visual celebration and surprises, the trailer offers a deeper immersive audio experience with THX Spatial Audio three-dimensional sound over headphones or earbuds.
IT Chapter Two Gets Immersive Release
Warner Bros. Pictures, announced today the release of New Line Cinema’s IT Chapter Two in three immersive cinema technologies: the multi-sensory 4DX format, the heightened 4DX Extreme (available in select theaters and territories) and the panoramic, 270-degree ScreenX. When the film is released globally on September 6 audiences worldwide will be able to take in the highly anticipated horror franchise finale in the auditoriums of 4DX and ScreenX.

Cineplex has opened Canada’s second CJ 4DPlex 4DX auditorium in Calgary, Alberta. The multi-sensory experience debuted at Scotiabank Theatre Chinook with Universal Pictures’ action-packed film, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.
