CineArt Multiplex, the leading exhibitor in Minas Gerais, the second largest state in Brazil has chosen the Doremi IMS1000 integrated media server for its digital cinema transition. The contractual agreement between Doremi and CineArt includes 32 units to be added to the total install base of 41 servers. Quanta DGT is the virtual print fee integrator; CineBrasil is the service provider.
Quanta DGT/AAM will be the integrator for the digitization of the largest Brazilian movie theatre chain, Kinoplex. Christie will supply projectors for the rollout, Doremi will supply the servers and Kelonik will be in charge of installations.
SET, the Brazilian Society of Television Engineering has announced the call for entries for SET Award 2014 will be accepted between now and July 22. This is the fifth year for the award, which is dedicated to companies and professionals that contribute with innovation and relevance for technology development of the Brazilian Television. The companies that would like to enroll must be established in Brazil or have an official representation or distributor. The professionals must be exercising their activities in Brazil.

As the South American market continues to rapidly expand, Doremi has reached a major agreement with Royal Films, one of Colombia’s largest cinema operators, through Bardan Cinema, one of Latin America’s largest integrators. GDC Technology has reached virtual print fee agreements with two premier cinema chains in Peru, Cinestar Multicines and UVK Multicines, for their digital cinema conversion. GDC Technology will deploy its digital cinema servers to the two theatre chains in partnership with Cinema Equipment and Supplies, a professional digital cinema service provider in America.
