B&B Theatres today signed an agreement that makes GDC Technology Limited its exclusive provider of digital cinema servers for the next three years. B&B Theatres is one of the fastest-growing cinema chains in the US adding 144 screens and 11 movie theatres in the last 18 months to become the fifth-largest domestic theatre circuit. B&B Theatres now operates 513 screens at 56 sites in 14 states.

After employing the combined power of AAM’s Screenwriter Theatre Management System, Producer Circuit Management System, and AdFuser, the Campaign Management Tool designed to revolutionize advertising campaigns, the exhibition giant has agreed to renew their software licenses for another term to ensure circuit-wide centralization, drive operational efficiency, and reach their audiences more effectively.
Christie Digital Systems today announced the purchase of Cinergy software from the Digital Cinema Implementation Partners. Cinergy is a cloud-based enterprise platform that consists of powerful yet easy to use tools to help operators track, monitor, and efficiently manage theatre presentation quality in one centralized platform.

Showplace Cinemas has installed GDC Technology’s SR-1000 Standalone Integrated Media Block with built-in audio processor to playback movies and surround sound at three locations in Indiana. The SR-1000’s built-in cinema audio processor option is designed to reduce the cost associated with booth operations and offer the capability to provide superior sound designed for 5.1 and 7.1 PCM uncompressed surround sound functionality – the purest digital sound not contaminated by compression.
