Poland’s Monternia.pl Successfully Integrates a ProntoHD.2 with a SpeedGrade DI

Warsaw-based post-production facility Monternia.pl has integrated the ProntoHD.2 into their pipeline. In addition to capture, conform, and play-out, Monternia.pl is using the digital disk recorder as a powerful platform for high-end color correction and film finishing. This is possible because of the ProntoHD.2's interoperability with Iridas’ SpeedGrade DI.

Monternia.pl is especially impressed with the combination of DVS and Iridas systems for their reliability and integration, which has allowed the company to to expand the range of services which it offers its clients.

In the Monternia.pl pipeline, the ProntoHD.2 records image data, which are processed and played out in real time. The open design of the DVS disk recorder allows Monternia.pl to include the grading and finishing toolset of SpeedGrade DI in their workflow. The integration of the EDL and folder structures between the ProntoHD.2 and the Iridas software allows for direct editing of image material by the Monternia.pl colorists, while the digital disk recorder's video I/O provides immediate processing of recorded material via SpeedGrade DI. Thus Monternia.pl avoids lengthy copying processes and benefits from the ProntoHD.2’s capability for both analog and digital play-out of processed material.

The ProntoHD.2 permits real-time image processing and supports both compressed and uncompressed formats from SD to HD and provides interoperability with third-party products.
