Baltic exhibitor Cinamon Cinemas has selected Volfoni as its 3D technology provider for the rollout of multiple new screens. Cinamon Cinemas currently operates 23 screens in five different locations.  Volfoni’s 3D cinema technology will be deployed as part of a major renovation of their multiplex in Tartu, Estonia.

Cinamon will use a combination of xenon and laser projectors in conjunction with Volfoni 3D systems.

“We are on a mission to deliver to our customers an impeccable experience in our cinemas,” said Tatiana Tolstaya, CEO of Cinamon Cinemas. “Without a doubt that includes the best-quality 3D systems to deliver a high level of performance. We are pleased to partner with Volfoni for our 3D technology requirements for our theaters, starting with the renovation in Tartu. We were looking for a partner who could grow with us and Volfoni is well positioned to support our growth.”

“Cinamon is one of the industry leaders in the Baltic region, delivering a superior cinematic experience for their audiences for the past 12 years,” said Araceli Vaello, sales director for EMEA & CIS for Volfoni.  “We are thrilled to have been selected by Cinamon Cinemas for their 3D cinema technology needs. It is a testament to Volfoni’s technological innovation and strong market position in the 3D cinema hardware space.”

The new deployments from Volfoni in Tartu will complement Cinamon’s existing theaters across the Baltic region, which includes theaters in Tallinn, Riga, Kaunas and Liepaja. Cinamon is growing rapidly and has expanded to 11 more screens in Tallinn and Helsinki already this year.
