The Cinema Exhibitors' Association announced today that it will be hosting a one-day conference focusing on the opportunities and challenges of digital cinema as the industry gears up for a landmark year in 2015.

Open to anyone in the film business it has been designed as an opportunity to participate in and shape the key issues of Cinema in the UK. Discussions will focus on digital cinema operation; new business models; emerging technologies and the next round of digitization, what it might look like and how it will be funded.

The Cinema of the Future event will take place on November 27 at Cineworld at the O2, Greenwich, South East London.

CEA policy executive Grainne Peat said, "The conference will be a good opportunity for the sector – and in particular smaller operators – to look ahead to the challenges and opportunities of a fully-digital cinema sector. The event is intended to respond to demands for the sector on a greater sharing of knowledge on what that has meant, and what changes might lie ahead."

The full program for the day can be found here. Registration for the conference is now open and tickets can be purchased here. These are priced at £100 (£50 for CEA members) exc. VAT.
