Motion Picture Solutions has appointed Matt Aspray the company’s chief executive officer. He takes over from Howard Kiedaisch, who is stepping aside to focus on the growth of Bel Air Cinema, a company he co-founded and in which MPS is a principal partner.
The company said Aspray’s leadership has been integral to its growth over the past 11 years. He takes the reins at the company during an exciting time, with expansion of the core services of digital mastering, KDM management and content localisation and distribution prompting the acquisition of new offices alongside MPS’s West London facility — as well as putting plans in place for a US facility in Los Angeles.
“Thanks to the commitment and support we have received from our clients, MPS has undergone an enormous transformation since I joined the company back in 2006 — and that transformation is continuing,” Aspray said. “We began as a small player in the UK digital cinema world, and today MPS is a well-known and respected entity serving the wider entertainment industry. I’ve been fortunate to have been at the heart of the company from the outset and under Howard’s wise counsel, MPS has now cemented its reputation internationally. I’m delighted he’ll be staying on as a non-executive director. His industry knowledge is unsurpassed, as is his commercial judgment.”
