Slik Uses Mistika to Create Edgy Urban Look for Med

New hit comedy series Med, currently airing on VRAK 2, outlines the amusing antics of an insolent youth, with his two inseparable friends and eccentric parents. Produced by KOTV (Alain Chicoine, Louis Morissette and Louis-Philippe Drolet) and directed by François Bégin, the program premièred on January 7th. “Med is Slik's very first TV project to benefit from Mistika's creativity and has been well received, with our client more than satisfied. In fact, the broadcaster is ecstatic,” colorist Mathieu Marano said.

Legend3D Upgrades Facility with an SGO Mistika System

Legend3D has announced that has purchased a Mistika 3D system from SGO. It will integrate its Mistika post-production system with two Assist Stations into the conversion and visual effects pipeline at the company's 60,000 square foot studio with multiple theatres and R&D facilities. With the capacity to work on up to three full feature films and multiple commercials concurrently, Legend3D has delivered projects such as The Lego Movie, Man of Steel, Life of Pi, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Smurfs 1 & 2, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, and many others.

Mistika Helps Antonio Banderas's Kandor Graphics make first 3D Feature

Justin and the Knights of Valour tells the story of a young boy who becomes a man as he embarks on a quest to become a knight. Directed and written by Kandor Graphics' chief creative officer, Manuel Sicilia, the animated adventure fantasy film boasts a famous cast of European voices including Freddie Highmore, Charles Dance, Rupert Everett, Barry Humphries, David Walliams, Julie Walters and Saoirse Ronan. Antonio Banderas, who is a Kandor Graphics partner, is also the voice of character Sir Clorex, as well as producer of the film along with Marcelino Almansa, Kerry Fulton and Ralph Kamp.
