Wonder Wheel, from Amazon Studios, reunites Allen with veteran cinematographer Vittorio Storaro, who was behind the camera for Allen’s Café Society, where his cinematography earned the biggest raves from critics reviewing the film. The movie also reunites colorist Anthony Raffaele of Technicolor PostWorks New York and DIT Simone d’Arcangelo.

Hoyts Purchases Christie CP4325-RGB Pure Laser Cinema Projectors

Australian exhibitor Hoyts has purchased and undisclosed number of Christies’ newly introduced CP4325-RGB pure laser cinema projector. The projectors will be installed at Hoyts’ upcoming flagship all RGB laser cinema complex located in Docklands, Melbourne, as well as in Auckland-based post-production house Department of Post.

MTI Film Finishes Story of Us

MTI Film recently provided final post-production services for The Story of Us with Morgan Freeman, a six-part documentary series on National Geographic. The facility handled editorial conforming and color grading for the series in which the veteran actor travels the globe “in search of an answer to one fundamental question for humanity: what are the common forces that bind us together?”

Learning the Importance of Post

Making a film for the first time is a challenge enough in itself, but post-production can sometimes be even more daunting. Aspiring filmmaker Michael Thibault said, “Strangely, all the things we were warned about – actors, scheduling, permits, etc – weren’t a problem at all. But when it came to post-production, it was a complete nightmare until we brought the show to AlphaDogs. We tried to get by cheap and skip using a professional post house, only to find out these freelance colorists and audio mixers have no clue as to what they are doing.”
