Hasbro and Lionsgate announced today that they have signed a deal with LuckyChap, the award-winning production company headed by Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley, and Josey McNamara, to produce Monopoly, a motion picture in development based on the legendary classic board game. Hasbro Entertainment will also produce.

Goldcrest Opening Post Facilities at Lionsgate Studios Yonkers

Goldcrest Post is teaming with Great Point Studios to bring world class post-production services to Lionsgate Studios Yonkers, which is owned and operated by Great Point Studios. Goldcrest Post will establish staff and operate facilities at the studio campus, providing a full slate of post-production services including dailies, sound and picture editorial, color grading, sound mixing, automated dialogue replacement, visual effects and offline edit suites. The site, slated to be fully operational by September, will service productions based at Lionsgate Studios Yonkers and elsewhere.

Creating a Vintage Allure

The music video for Ariana Grande’s yes, and? brings a modern approach to vintage allure. The video was directed by Christian Breslauer, who worked for the first time with cinematographer Gaul Porat. Together, the filmmakers found inspiration in well-chosen references and showcased the dynamic choreography with intentional framing and subtle, deliberate camera moves. Working with Panavision New York, Breslauer and Porat chose to work primarily with H Series spherical primes for the production, which came together quickly late last year. Here the two filmmakers share insights on their inspirations and collaboration.
