FotoKem’s Bay Area visual effects and post house Spy recently contributed hundreds of visual effects shots, the digital intermediate, and 3D conversion services to Francis Ford Coppola’s latest feature film, Twixt, which recently screened at the 2011 Toronto Film Festival. Spy’s contribution broke new ground in a number of ways, including an unprecedented integration of visual effects and color grading in the conception and design of ghost effects that play an important role in the film.
Managing The Hobbit Workflow at Park Road Post

With production now in motion on Peter Jackson's two-film adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit, Oscar award-winning New Zealand-based facility, Park Road Post Production has selected Mistika for the majority of stereo and DI work for the production and post-production workflows of the feature film.
Narduzzo Too Colors Hysteria

When Vince Narduzzo’s Pinewood Studios-based digital intermediates facility Narduzzo Too was awarded the contract to grade the film Hysteria, the need for accurate film-based calibration became obvious. Hysteria is a period comedy drama about the history of the vibrator, that was shot in 35mm film and delivered in film, DCP and HD. To address the problem he installed a LightSpace CMS, color management system from Light Illusion.
