Screening Cane Toads
The documentary Cane Toads: The Conquest from Australian writer/director Mark Lewis is the first Australian digital 3D feature film, and was a rare 3D entry at Sundance — following the festival's previous (and highly successful) 3D entry in 2008, Mark Pellington's U2 3D. The film screened in Park City's Eccles auditorium, a 1,200-seat venue on Barco’s DP-3000 digital cinema projectors. Playback originated from a Dolby digital cinema server. Exhibition
Going Green
Independent exhibitor Cinema West has selected Barco DP-2000 digital cinema projectors for every screen in their new Palladio 16 multiplex in Folsom, California. With a total seating capacity of 3000, built around an energy- efficient concept, the all-digital venue includes six 3D-capable theatres. Once final implementation is complete, the Palladio 16 Cinemas will be able to boast the largest solar system on the roof of any movie theatre in the world. Coming Soon

Two Cinemas first to offer Digital 3D in Germany

The Cineplex Marburg and the Cinedom Koeln multiplexes are the first German cinemas to offer their audiences large-scale digital 3D Cinema. In the run-up for the theatrical release of Avatar, both cinemas installed Kinoton 3D2P systems, each operating with two projectors.
