Kino Industries, creator of the interactive CtrlMovie technology that gives film and TV audiences real-time collaborative influence over the direction of a project’s plots and characters, has entered into a creative and co-financing partnership with Rocketman financier Starlings Entertainment. The announcement was made by Kino Industries CEO Chady Eli Mattar, president Scott C. Silver and Starlings Entertainment CEO/executive producer Karine Martin.

Arri has opened its new state-of-the-art mixed reality studio in the UK. Equipped with an LED volume comprising 343 square meters of LED wall, installed in partnership with NEP Live Events production and technical specialist firm Creative Technology, the studio is one of the biggest permanent mixed reality production spaces in Europe.

Sound and mastering engineer Fernando Richard, mixing engineer Ivan Markovic and sound designer Francisco Bissone recently teamed up to launch Immersive Audio Solutions in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The studio is designed to offer immersive sound solutions for a wide array of platforms. A Dolby Atmos-approved studio, IAS also has the capabilities of mixing for Sony 360 and Ambisonic formats.
FilmLight has announced a new program of awards which will honor colorists and the art of color worldwide.
