Codex has announced Codex Review Live, a new color management and look-creation system enabling set-to-post color confidence for feature and high-end episodic TV productions. Codex will demonstrate Codex Review Live during the National Association of Broadcasters show in Las Vegas April 13-16, at its new and larger booth at the front of Central Hall – located at #C1817 – as it continues to focus on more than simply recording for motion pictures and broadcast production.

The HBO series, set in Atlantic City during the Prohibition Era, was one of the most acclaimed television dramas of the past decade, earning a total of 18 Emmy Awards over the course of its run, among many other accolades.

Slik Uses Mistika to Create Edgy Urban Look for Med

New hit comedy series Med, currently airing on VRAK 2, outlines the amusing antics of an insolent youth, with his two inseparable friends and eccentric parents. Produced by KOTV (Alain Chicoine, Louis Morissette and Louis-Philippe Drolet) and directed by François Bégin, the program premièred on January 7th. “Med is Slik's very first TV project to benefit from Mistika's creativity and has been well received, with our client more than satisfied. In fact, the broadcaster is ecstatic,” colorist Mathieu Marano said.

The Colors of American Dreams in China

American Dreams in China, director Peter Chan's first digital cinema effort, was shot on Arri Alexa and recorded on Codex. Chan’s strong affection for the filmic look determined how the film would be graded and finished in post. Colorist Antonio Zhang of the Chinese facility Post Production Office Group supervised the entire process.
