Abramorama, Eagle Rock Release ZZ Top Doc

Abramorama and Eagle Rock Entertainment are releasing a Banger Films documentary feature film that tells the story of how three oddball teenage bluesmen – Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill, and Frank Beard – became ZZ Top, one of the biggest, most beloved bands on the planet, all while maintaining a surrealist mystique that continues to intrigue fans and entice onlookers a half century after the band’s inception. All three band members will be in attendance at the premiere, as they prepare to embark on their 50thAnniversary Tour.

Abramorama to Present K-12 Film Globally

Melanie Martinez and Atlantic Records new album and accompanying full-length film, K-12 will be released September 6. Prior to that, the film will have its official Los Angeles film premiere on September 3 exclusively at Hollywood’s famed Arclight Cinerama Dome. An official New York City premiere will follow on September 5 at the AMC Empire 25 in Times Square.

Fandango Offers Map of Tarantino's L.A.

Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is leading the weekend’s ticket presales on Fandango and has outsold Tarantino’s previous titles in Fandango’s advance ticket sales. To celebrate the its release Fandango is launching a map of the film’s L.A. locations, while Fandango’s on-demand video streaming service, FandangoNOW, is hosting a playlist of movies that Quentin Tarantino screened for his crew to help inspire the ‘60s vibe of the film.

DTLA Film Festival Seeking 360º/VR/MR Films

Now preparing for its 11th edition, the DTLA Film Festival, downtown Los Angeles’ largest film-TV event, has announced a call for entries for 360º/VR/MR films for a new sidebar of immersive content, running concurrent with the rest of the festival, October 23-27. Submissions for all genres of immersive films are now open through August 16 and are free to all filmmakers. Films can be submitted through the festival's Film Freeway account.

The system is designed to fully automate workflow in a cinema multiplex while offering movie-goers much more content with an advanced central media server capable of storing, managing and streaming thousands of movies.
