Universal Pictures Home Entertainment Content Group will distribute Iron Sky The Coming Race, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2012 cult hit Iron Sky, across a range of international territories in 2017, including Germany, United Kingdom and France as well as a big part of the rest of Europe (excluding Scandinavia).

Roadshow Films Using Vista’s Numero to Track Box Office Results

Vista Group International’s cinema data measurement company Numero today announced the signing of Roadshow Films in Australia and New Zealand. Roadshow Films will use Numero’s services to track daily box office results in the Australasian market. Numero has developed its testing and building capabilities and is now delivering the product to the broader film distribution community.

Dolby Vision, Atmos Movies Available on Vudu

Dolby Laboratories, Vudu, and Universal Pictures Home Entertainment have announced the first slate of titles now available in ultra high definition with Dolby Vision high dynamic range imaging. Dolby Vision titles now available for purchase and rental on Vudu include the all-new release The Huntsman: Winter’s War, and fan favorites Lucy, Oblivion, and Lone Survivor.

CBS Films Acquires U.S. Distribution Rights to Winchester

CBS Films has acquired the U.S. distribution rights to Winchester from Bullitt Entertainment and Diamond Pictures. The film is being directed by Michael Spierig and Peter Spierig (Predestination) who wrote the screenplay for Winchester with Tom Vaughan. Academy Award-winner Helen Mirren (The Queen) will star, with Imagination Design Works’ Brett Tomberlin and Blacklab Entertainment’s Tim McGahan producing.

Unique Digital, Cinedavis Launch Movie Transit in Germany

Unique Digital and Cinedavis today announced the creation of a distribution partnership to provide electronic delivery of feature films for the German market. This partnership will directly benefit from the recently announced alliance between Deluxe Technicolor and Unique Digital to provide a long-term viable future for Deluxe’ customers in terms of content delivery, with Unique as the preferred vendor in agreed territories worldwide. Delivery of feature film to specific exhibitors will be possible by the end of quarter three with a plan to have connected more than 200 cinemas by March 2017.
