SM Cinema, Imax Expand Partnership in the Philippines
SM Cinema, the largest exhibitor in the Philippines, and Imax Corporation today announced a significant expansion to their longstanding partnership, with ten Imax with Laser systems. The deal will bring the Imax Experience to three new locations, as well as seven Imax with Laser upgrades to existing systems across the SM Cinema network. Three of the upgraded locations are expected to open in 2024, with the remaining locations set to open before the end of 2026.
CineNova, Turkey, Installing Four Imax with Laser Projection Systems
CineNova and Imax Corporation today announced a new partnership to install four new Imax with Laser systems in Turkey. This agreement is the first collaboration between the two companies and will bring the first-ever premium Imax with Laser systems to the country, marking a significant milestone for the market.
Ōma Cinema Installs Christie Laser Projection
Ōma Cinema in Mougins, France, has installed Christie projection in the new facility. Inspired by traditional Italian-style opera house balconies – and resembling a futuristic sci-fi layout – Ōma Cinema features innovative architecture, utilizing circular seating pods as part of a premium auditorium concept to improve viewing. Christie partner Cinewest chose the CP4435-RGB laser projector to deliver advanced Digital Cinema Initiative compliant cinema projection, paired with a custom 7.1 sound system.
Supercines Opens New Multiplex in Ecuador
Supercines, Ecuador’s largest cinema chain, has just opened the 10-screen multiplex Supercines Orellana, which has been equipped with Christie cinema technology, including RGB pure laser projectors, Christie Vive Audio and LCD digital signage displays. T&T Cinema supplied and installed all Christie equipment in the new complex.

Imax and Major Cineplex to Expand Partnership
Imax Corporation and Major Cineplex today announced plans to expand their partnership with an agreement for three new Imax with Laser locations. The deal will add systems to key locations across Thailand, including one in the bustling area of Bang Kapi, Bangkok—set to open in 2024—and two additional locations in Bangkok set to open in 2026 and 2027.
