Christie has supported Big Cine Expo, the only cinema trade show specifically for India, since its inception in 2016. Renegade Animation co-founder and executive producer Ashley Postlewaite will take part in the panel discussion Extraordinary Women, Extraordinary Animation at Comic-Con International 2018 in San Diego. Postlewaite will join other women leaders from the animation industry in discussing how they turned their talents into successful careers. The panel will also discuss new technologies that are making it easier for young people, and especially women, to enter the field of animation.
IBC2018 today announced a Cyber Security Forum for broadcasters and media. The event will be part of the annual IBC show at the RAI Convention Center in Amsterdam September 13-18. A one-day, invitation-only event, it will convene chief technology officers, chief information officers, chief information security officers and chief digital officers within media and broadcasting for a conversation on the challenges and opportunities presented by cyber security for broadcasters.

Influential European trade organization IBC and TM Forum, the digital business trade association today jointly announced a new collaboration to drive open innovation between the telecoms and media industries. The collaboration will include a focus on developing multi-company, rapid proof-of-concept projects to be showcased at each other’s flagship events and a range of joint marketing and content sharing activities.
Chris Buchanan, Samsung’s director, business development, cinema screen, will give the keynote address at the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers Future of Cinema Conference April 8 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event is co-sponsored by the National Association of Broadcasters and is part of their annual convention.
