Jordan Jacobs2G Digital has named Jordan Jacobs to the newly created post of senior vice president of business development.

Formerly vice president/sales and account management at Technicolor, Jacobs will seek to develop new business and broaden existing relationships with film and television studios and independent producers.  2G Digital specializes in digital distribution and related services for all types of entertainment content.

In making the announcement, 2G Digital CEO Stephen Buchsbaum cited Jacobs’ more than 30 years of experience in distribution and content management, and high regard throughout the film and television industry.

“Jordan is a well-respected pro, who knows our sector of the business like few others,” Buchsbaum said. “His insights, energy and dedication to customer service will be invaluable as we seek to grow our already very busy company. We’re excited to have him on board.”

Jacobs’ tenure at Technicolor spanned 11 years. During that time he served as vice president/sales and account management for a division that provided content management services for a client base that included most major and mid-major film and television producers.

Earlier in his career, Jacobs served in senior managerial and operational roles for a variety of post-production service providers, including a 10-year stint at Dubs Inc., where he was vice president and general manager.

In discussing his move to 2G Digital, Jacobs said that, as an independent provider of digital distribution services, the company is well positioned to introduce innovations to an area of the industry undergoing rapid changes in technology and workflows. “2G Digital is delivering the solutions that customers are looking for,” he said. “It also enjoys an excellent reputation for integrity and efficiency. That bodes well for its future.”
