Arts Alliance Media is bringing the next generation of its Theatre Management System to ShowEast with the unveiling of the Screenwriter mobile companion app. AAM’s TMS now provides even more value to exhibitors by allowing crucial Screenwriter features to be available on mobile devices.
Exhibitors no longer need to be behind a desk in order to monitor their cinemas, with the Screenwriter app enabling instant access to key information from wherever they are. Any issues that could potentially threaten shows, such as missing content or KDMs, are immediately sent as proactive notifications straight to the device, allowing managers to review and fix problems in time to avoid losing shows.
Operations can be planned more easily by creating tasks and assigning them to specific users, both in response to an alert (asking a projectionist to re-ingest a KDM for instance) and as a recurring task (such as a concessions manager getting a reminder to restock the popcorn every morning). Different permissions can be given to different members of staff to allow everyone to benefit from increased flexibility.
The app also shows at a glance exactly what is happening across all the screens in the complex with the Timeline View. Times of heavy footfall can be easily anticipated and staff deployed to the right place, e.g. the concessions stand, to minimise queues and improve the customer experience.
Eric Stevens, commercial director of Arts Alliance Media says, “This is about the customer experience. Cinema managers can now carry Screenwriter in their pocket and feel confident in being notified if issues occur, like missing KDMs or scheduling conflicts. Cinema operations run uninterrupted and cinema managers and staff can spend more time front-of-house keeping their customers happy. Customers first, always.”
Arts Alliance Media will be demonstrating the new Screenwriter app, as well as AAM’s entire digital cinema software suite, at Booth #109 at ShowEast from October 27-30.
