The International Documentary Association has announced that American Documentary has received four nominations for the 38th IDA Documentary Awards.

The International Documentary Association has announced that American Documentary has received four nominations for the 38th IDA Documentary Awards.America ReFramed and POV received Best Curated Series nominations, and POV Shorts secured a Best Short-Form Series nomination. America ReFramed also garnered a Best TV Feature Documentary or Mini-Series nomination for Monica Land’s revolutionary Fannie Lou Hamer’s America: An America ReFramed Special about the fearless Mississippi sharecropper-turned-human-rights-activist.  

America ReFramed, a World Channel and American Documentary co-production, presents stories that span the spectrum of American life. POV, currently celebrating its 35th anniversary, is America’s longest running documentary series.

POV Shorts is the award-winning non-fiction shorts film series curated by POV, now in its fifth season.  

The 38th Annual IDA Documentary Awards ceremony will take place on December 10 at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles.
