Brenna DickerSIM Digital Atlanta has named Brennen Dicker as Post Production Manager. Dicker, who previously served as Director of Post Production Sales at Crawford Media Services, arrives with broad experience in all aspects of film and television production, and deep ties to Atlanta’s production community. In his new role, he will lead SIM Atlanta’s Bling Digital unit which provides a variety of leading-edge data management, dailies processing and post production services to film and television productions. SIM Digital also maintains facilities in Los Angeles, Toronto, Vancouver, Halifax and Beijing.

“Brennen’s appointment is part of our deep commitment to the Atlanta market, our desire to build strong relationships with producers and provide them with innovative solutions across their workflows,” said Ann DeGuire, General Manager of SIM Digital, Atlanta. “He brings in-depth experience, a passion for the production industry and a long history of helping producers solve their challenges. It’s great to have him on our team.”

Dicker will work alongside DeGuire in growing the company’s business in the Southeast. SIM Digital is virtually unique in its ability to supply both production needs, such as camera equipment, and emerging post production services, such as on-set and near-set dailies, Avid rentals and finishing services. The company’s Bling Digital unit has experienced rapid growth as film and television productions adopt new workflows that encompass services that previously required brick and mortar post production facilities. SIM Digital Atlanta currently provides production and post-production services for a number of episodic television series and film productions, including CW’s The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, and The Sundance Channel’s Rectify.

“I’ve been familiar with SIM Digital for several years and know it as a very buttoned-up company with a great reputation,” Dicker observed. “I see tremendous opportunities for SIM to grow further. Its ability to package camera equipment and other gear with post services is a distinct advantage.”

Dicker joined Crawford Media Services (originally Crawford Communications) in 2004. Earlier in his career, he was executive producer and principal of American Mongrel Productions, a Chicago production company, specializing in commercials, documentaries and sports programming. His background also includes work in broadcast television as a producer, camera operator, audio engineer and assistant editor.

Dicker has been active in many Atlanta-area industry-related service organizations. He serves on the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) Atlanta Advisory Council, the Georgia Production Partnership (GPP) board, the Metro Atlanta Chamber Advisory board, and the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival Steering Committee. He is also on the board for The Frazer Center, a nonprofit that helps children and adults with disabilities.
