The grand opening of Carmike Cinemas newest complex, the West Melbourne 12 in West Melbourne, Florida will be held on August 13. The theatre officially opens at Noon that day.
The new theatre will be furnished with 12 digital screens and have total seating capacity for more than 2,400 guests. The complex will be equipped with stadium seating in all auditoriums and high-back rocking luxury seats with retractable armrests and cup holders. The West Melbourne 12 will also contain large, wall-to-wall screens, digital projection and digital sound in all auditoriums. The new complex also provides special services for visually and hearing impaired patrons.
The most exciting feature of the new complex will be the IMAX theatre, which features a wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling screen measuring 65-feet wide by 35-feet tall and has seating capacity for more than 450 guests.
