The independent trade group Cinema Technology Community has released a restart guide aimed at providing guidance for exhibitors turning their attention to their re-opening strategies post Covid-19.

The guide, which is a follow-up to CTC’s Covid-19 closure technology guide is freely available on the CTC web site and covers elements including auditorium equipment, spare parts, product lead times, sanitation and cleaning, staffing requirements including personal protective equipment, social distancing measures, automation and digitization of processes, audience re-engagement and marketing strategies.

“The leisure sector and indeed the cinema industry will be significantly transformed in a post Covid-19 world and this guide is designed to act as a stimulus to help exhibitors think about the various elements involved in re-opening and the importance of keeping their staff and customers safe,” said CTC president Richard Mitchell. “Even though re-opening may still be a few months away in some territories, with the green shoots of hope starting to emerge around the world, now seems a good time to start planning for eventual re-openings.”
