“As the credits rolled on 2023, Barbenheimer was still firmly on everyone’s lips as the standout cultural moment of the year, placing all eyes attentively forward on the big screen” said DCM’s CEO Karen Stacey. “Not even a Hollywood strike could dampen the enthusiasm and noise surrounding these blockbuster hits and cinemagoers were quite rightly queuing round the block.
“Cinema has always been the best seat in media and is perfectly placed to achieve high viewability and engaged viewing. Starting with cinema on the AV plan is imperative in creating impact and growing trust for premium brands with engaged audiences. With this in mind, we’re so excited to launch the eight Digital Media Awards. Our expectations are even higher this year after last year’s innovative, impactful, and dynamic entries blew us away. If you have exceptional cinema advertising and standout creative strategies within this space, then we want to see them and celebrate them.”
The Digital Cinema Awards are free to enter and the closing date for submissions is July 12. Judging will take place in early September and the live red-carpet awards ceremony will take place on September 18 at London’s BAFTA in Piccadilly.
