The Event Cinema Association’s annual Slate Day – now in its sixth year – will take place January 26 at the Empire Cinema, Walthamstow in London.
The line up of presentations already confirmed include Trafalgar Releasing, Piece of Magic Entertainment, Pathe Live, Nexo Digital, Version Digital, Exhibition on Screen, Altitude, Generation Media, Fathom Events, Iconic Releasing, Compassionate Films and Anime Ltd.
Luke Williams from Comscore, will be providing an international review of the 2022 market and will be taking some time to look back at the last ten years.
The ten-year celebration of the ECA will see the return of the ECA Awards, where the association recognizes the top performing global titles from 2022 for the following genres: Opera, Concert, Theatre, Anime, and Pre-school. The latter two are new categories for Slate Day. The awards will be determined by global box office.
There will also be an award for the Highly Commended Event of 2022, to recognize a standout event that was unique and successful outside of box office takings.
