Emerging Cinema Markets Embracing 3D in Large Numbers

At the Emerging Cinema Markets Conference, which was held in Istanbul November 19-21, RealD released statistics that show 3D in exhibition is increasingly popular in countries where movie theatres are beginning to gain a foothold.

According to RealD, with numbers verified by Comscore, these are the percentages of movies in 2019, by country, that were released in 3D:

Moldova 99.8%

Uzbekistan 98.4%

Tajikistan 97.7%

Kyrgyzstan 94.2%

Georgia 90.7%

Azerbaijan 90.4%

China 87.5%

Turkmenistan 87.0%

Mozambique 81.9%

Belarus 61.2%

Turkey 56.6%
