International Datacasting Corporation has delivered satellite receiver equipment to CinecolorSat to support the expansion of their digital cinema distribution network across Latin America.

This expansion includes deployments of both the SuperFlex Pro Cinema Cache Server for high-speed satellite movie delivery and the SuperFlex Pro Cinema Event Player for live event support.  The continued rapid deployment of SuperFlex Pro Cinema Cache Servers in Latin America demonstrates the confidence studios and service providers have in the IDC digital cinema distribution solution.  As part of the network expansion, IDC has recently shipped products to Chile, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, and Mexico.

"The IDC solution has continued to evolve, adding new and advanced features that provide the high level of service our clients expect," said Juan Carlos Arriagada, general manager of CinecolorSat, a business division of Grupo Chilefilms Holding.  "The support received from IDC has allowed CineColorSat to continue the rapid expansion of its digital cinema distribution network and build on the success of the 64 games of the FIFA World Cup games carried live in theatres in Central and South América, plus the growing demand for digital cinema distribution supported by major studios and independent distributors."

"IDC is delighted to support the expansion of the CineColorSat network, which has quickly become the largest satellite movie distribution network in Latin America," said Doug Lowther, IDC president and CEO. "This latest deployment is indicative of the continued leadership and momentum of IDC in the digital cinema market."
