This year at Sundance, more films than ever have been created with Adobe Premiere Pro, making Adobe the most used editing software at the festival for the second year in a row, based on an official Sundance survey. The majority of films (56 percent) chose Premiere Pro for editorial software.

According to the survey, Premiere Pro has seen a staggering 405 percent growth rate in the films that used it to cut their Sundance projects, between 2015 and 2020. In addition, 82 percent of the 2020 Festival lineup used Adobe Creative Cloud technology on their projects (this includes After Effects and other tools).

Adobe is sponsoring New Frontier for the first time ever this year, and 59 percent of these projects used Premiere Pro.

Finally, the Sundance survey said that 72 percent of New Frontier projects utilized Adobe Creative Cloud to build immersive worlds and stories.

The Sundance Film Festival is underway now in Park City, Utah and runs through February 2.
