Multicines in Mall del Río Guayaquil Opens in Ecuador

Earlier this year, the Multicines Mall del Rio Guayaquil in Guayaquil, Ecuador became the only cinema project to be started and developed in Latin America during the COVID-19 pandemic. The theatre has 11 auditoriums, including a 4D Emotion + 3D screen and a premium large format screen called MCX – Multicines Xtreme. CES+ was the integrator on the project.

Multicines features Dolby Atmos and Dolby audio systems and servers, chairs by Inorca and Lumma, screens by Severston and RGB pure laser projection technology by Christie.  Dolby has been a fundamental partner in this project providing the sound system and servers optimizing the sound in every auditorium.

The Dolby Atmos sound system was certified by engineer Carlos Cuevas.
