CJ 4DPlex has announced that Nordisk Film Cinemas will bring nine additional 4DX immersive seating screens to Scandinavia by the end of 2021. This agreement comes on the heels of a successful run at Nordisk’s first 4DX theatre in Oslo, the Nordisk Ringen. During full time screenings of eight Hollywood titles since March 10, the theater has seen an overall occupancy rate of 72 percent.
“With many sellouts to date, our 4DX auditorium has become the main attraction in our Nordisk Ringen Theatre,” said Jannicke Haugen, CEO of Nordisk Film Kino. “With the powerful success we’ve seen at the box office in Oslo, we are excited to partner with CJ 4DPlex to expand this immersive experience to additional Nordisk Film Cinemas in Norway, Denmark and Sweden.”
