Park Circus has appointed seasoned and highly respected film and TV executive Doug Davis as CEO. He will replace Mark Hirzberger-Taylor who is stepping down to focus on new ventures.
"On behalf of the Board, I want to thank Mark for his massively valuable contributions to Park Circus over the past four years, and for leading the company so successfully through the challenges of COVID,” said Park Circus board chairman John Woodward. “Obviously, we respect his wish to move on and we wish him every success in his next chosen venture. We are absolutely delighted to have secured Doug as our new CEO. His deep experience in international distribution and his love of film coupled with his entrepreneurial skills make him the perfect candidate to take Park Circus to the next level. We’re thrilled to have him on board."
Under Hirzberger-Taylor leadership, Park Circus successfully expanded its business and its global footprint and delivered an uninterrupted service to the industry through COVID, deepening its relationships with customers and clients across the distribution and exhibition sectors.
Davis said, “I would like to thank Mark for his hard work with the team over recent years, which has cemented Park Circus’s position as a respected global distributor of classic and contemporary films. I am incredibly excited to lead the company on its next phase of growth. Hirzberger-Taylor said, “It has been a privilege to lead Park Circus and I am very proud of what we've accomplished over the last four years. The business is now at a timely inflexion point and so this is a good moment for me to move on to new challenges. I leave Park Circus in great shape and as the industry continues to evolve there are huge opportunities and I wish Doug the best of luck as he moves the company forward into its next growth phase."
