Bollywood veteran Satish Kaushik on Friday inaugurated a first-of-its-kind inflatable digital theatre in Sardarshahar town of Rajasthan's Churu district. The theatre was installed by PictureTime Digiplex. After the opening ceremony, the new theatre featured a screening of superstar Shah Rukh Khan's spy thriller Pathaan.
Sardarshahar is a small town in the Churu district which is located in Northern Rajasthan and is roughly some 285 kilometers from the city of Jaipur. Its inhabitants have gone without a theatre for the fifteen years.
The theatre has been set up in collaboration with Vikas Malu's Kuber Entertainment. He said he and PictureTime will be putting inflatable screens in Rajasthan and Haryana.
Kaushik said, “Being in the film business for the last three decades, I was thrilled to have inaugurated the new unit of Kuber PictureTime in Sardarshehar with Shah Rukh Khan's blockbuster movie Pathaan. PictureTime's inflatable cinemas have created a revolution in movie exhibition. They will be spreading their wings across Rajasthan and Haryana with more screens in association with the Entertainment company. I would like to congratulate Sushil Chaudhary and Vikas Malu for bringing this unique entertainment solution for the cinema viewers.”
The company is also screening Pathaan at its inflatable theatre in Leh, Ladakh, touted as the world's highest mobile theatre.
The Hindi film is also being screened in PictureTime’s three other inflatable theatres in Asifabad (Telangana), Sardarshahar (Rajasthan) and Arunachal Pradesh.
