West Coast-based production companies Accomplice Media and The Joneses have joined forces under the Accomplice name. Executive producers Jeff Snyder and Mel Gragido will co-manage the company, overseeing a roster of 16 directors that includes award-winning filmmakers Don Burgess, Jeff Gorman, Vincent Laforet, David Jellison, Rick Knief and Hans Petter Moland, as well as the dynamic young directing team Sherpas Cinema.

Digital Arts in New York City recently installed a new Meyer Sound cinema monitoring system in its new post-production theatre. The system has already been used on such projects as Woody Allen’s forthcoming film Blue Jasmine, and the recent HBO movie Beyoncé: Life Is But a Dream.
The San Diego Film Festival has hired Digital Operative to handle its online promotions, scheduling and ticket sales.

Net Brains will market and support MTI Film’s Cortex line of workflow solutions to broadcasters and film and television producers in its territory. The Hollywood Post Alliance is extending deadlines for the Engineering Excellence Award and the HPA Judges Award for Creativity and Innovation. The HPA will now accept entries in these categories until July 3rd.
AM Studios, Chennai, one of India’s most famous recording studios, has acquired a Barco Auro 11.1 system to enhance its 3D sound recording capabilities. The sound mixing for Maryan, an upcoming Tamil drama thriller film directed by Bharatbala starring Dhanush and Parvathi Menon was done using Auro 11.1.
LA-based rental house Radiant Images announced the Radiant Novo Challenge filmmaking competition at the Palm Springs International ShortFest this week. The Radiant Novo Challenge will provide select filmmakers with the opportunity to create a short film using the new Novo digital cinema camera.
