Technological Cinevideo Services has relocated to expanded headquarters in New York City's booming Brooklyn Navy Yard. Double the size of their previous location, the new 20,000-plus square foot facility is designed to meet the growing needs of feature films, scripted and unscripted television, commercials and other productions working on the East Coast, and worldwide. The facility is now open.

11 Dollar Bill Hires Mike Negri and Brenna Cherry

Mike Negri, producer of the Emmy Award-winning documentary The Alpinist and the SXSW Audience Award-winning documentary The Dawn Wall, has joined 11 Dollar Bill as senior producer. Negri, who brings extensive experience in film, television, advertising and branded content, will be based out of the company’s facility in Boulder and support projects originating there and at its Chicago and Raleigh locations. 11 Dollar Bill has also hired Brenna Cherry as an assistant editor and post-production scheduler as it moves to keep pace with a surge in new projects.

Arsenal FX Color Adding Satellite Operations

ArsenalFX Color is celebrating its tenth anniversary with an ambitious, effort to grow and extend its reach. The boutique post-production facility, which provides dailies, color, finishing and visual effects services for television and film is planning to relocate to a new, standalone facility in Santa Monica. Additionally, having successfully operated a satellite facility in Atlanta for the past five years, it intends to open new satellite operations in production centers around the U.S. and Canada with one slated to open in Albuquerque, New Mexico this fall. It will offer dailies and post services for television and film productions operating in the state.

AFI Announces the 2022 Cinematography Intensive for Women

The American Film Institute has announced a call for applicants for the 2022 Cinematography Intensive for Women presented by Panavision. Returning after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the four-day program will be held on the AFI Campus in Los Angeles on Friday, July 15 through Monday, July 18. Designed for aspiring cinematographers, the goal of the program is to provide participants with a toolkit to secure on-set experience in the field and first-hand industry insights demonstrating the path to professional career success.

HPA Engineering Excellence Award Entries Open Through June 24

The call for entries is now open for the HPA Engineering Excellence Award. The award recognizes the companies and individuals who have created breakthrough technologies in media, content production, finishing, distribution, and archive. The 2022 submission period runs through June 24. Judging will again take place online, in July.
