The Queen of Sin, the third film shot by Serge Desrosiers, CSC (a.k.a. Sergio Di Rosa), for Incendo Productions and its cable network client Lifetime, is a departure from what most people consider the traditional Lifetime made-for-TV movie. “The Queen of Sin is unlike any film that I’ve done for Incendo and Lifetime,” explained Desrosiers, whose second Lifetime film, Sometimes the Good Kill – also shot with Cooke lenses – has been nominated for an ASC 2018 award.
The American Society of Cinematographers has named Eric Rodli as executive director, effective immediately. On February 18th, the Motion Picture Sound Editors will present John Paul Fasal with its annual Career Achievement award at the 65th MPSE Golden Reel Awards. Fasal has worked in sound for more than 30 years as a sound designer and field recordist. His many credits span features, television and games, including such titles as Top Gun, Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, Interstellar, The Dark Knight, American Sniper and this year’s box office hits Dunkirk and Coco.
Technicolor has announced the launch of Mill Film, a new VFX studio for the theatrical/film production market. The initial production hub will be located in Adelaide, Australia with plans to expand into other film production locations to service global clients.
Veteran colorist Trent Johnson has joined MTI Film. Johnson brings more than 25 years of experience and credits spanning features, animation, episodic television and restoration. His recent credits include Columbia Pictures’ The Emoji Movie, Screen Gems’ Proud Mary and the upcoming MGM comedy Overboard.
Ymagis Group today reported its consolidated financial results for the fourth quarter of 2017 and its full year revenue for 2017 December 31, 2017. Driven by its technological services activities and recent acquisitions, Ymagis Group continued its growth momentum with revenue up by +0.8 percent in 2017 despite the structural decline in virtual print fees activities. During Q4, business stood at its highest historical level as revenue reached €54.1M (+3.5 percent).
