Katrine Elliott, founder of Art Screen Events, is thrilled to be launching this exceptional theatrical event on the big screen in her old stomping ground of Tasmania’s North West Coast. With more than 23 years of experience in the film events industry, Elliott founded Art Screen Events to pursue her dream of sourcing and curating unique films and filmed events specifically for the Tasmanian audience.

New York’s Little Cinema Deploys Verimatrix for Virtual Premieres

In the wake of the pandemic, New York-based Little Cinema has deployed Verimatrix watermarking and digital rights management technologies for its virtual premieres and previews. A digital studio, Little Cinema has partnered with Netflix, ABC, CBS, HBO Max, and Warner Media to produce virtual premiere events for an industry that used to rely solely on in-person debuts.

And the need for accurate and coherent subtitles – both for artistic and economic reasons – has never been more important. For two decades Dr. Vasilis Manousakis, the Literature, Literary and Audiovisual Translation instructor at Hellenic American College in Athens, Greece, has been subtitling and translating a broad range of genres, series and films produced by HBO, Disney, Universal Pictures, Warner Bros. and Netflix, among them Lost, The Good Place, Star Wars and Game of Thrones.

Abramorama Releasing Soros Documentary in U.S. November 18

Abramorama has acquired U.S. distribution rights for Jesse Dylan’s feature length documentary film Soros, from Vital Pictures. Abramorama is orchestrating a nationwide live streaming premiere with a post-screening conversation with Dylan and additional guests on November 18 on the film’s website – www.sorosfilm.com. Abramorama will release the film as a nationwide Watch Now @ Home offering starting November 20. The film had its U.S. premiere at the Telluride Film Festival.
