Sony Digital Cinema and MPS have agreed to integrate MPS’s newly launched OnCinema software client within Sony Theatre Management Systems within Europe. This move would make Sony’s TMS solution the first in the industry to be fully integrated with the OnCinema platform, adding a number of possible substantial benefits to Sony’s exhibitor customers, including true end-to-end delivery and real-time feedback on key delivery status.

Smart Trailering is an innovative solution that centralizes and automates trailer scheduling. CinemaNext, part of the Ymagis Group, has opened its first French regional sales and technical support office at the Pôle Pixel in Villeurbanne, a suburb of Lyon. Olivier Douet, head of sales for CinemaNext France, Switzerland and Africa, manages the office.
In a first for Vista Group International, its companies Vista Entertainment Solutions and Movio have won a joint proposal to provide their cinema software to Ster-Kinekor Theatres, the largest cinema exhibitor on the African continent.
Movio has won the prestigious 2016 New Zealand Hi-Tech Innovative Software Product award for its latest development Movio Media. The award was presented to Movio's chief executive and co-founder Will Palmer at the annual New Zealand Hi-Tech Awards gala at the ANZ Viaduct Events Centre, Auckland on May 20th.
