SMPTE Hollywood Session to Explore Importance of IMF

SMPTE Hollywood and the IMF User Group will co-host a virtual meeting on IMF and its impact on content owners, service providers and technology developers. The Interoperable Master Format is fast becoming the standard deliverable for studios and streamers. Free and open to all, the event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 30 at noon PDT on Zoom.

Technologist Jack Watts began his career in post-production in the Republic of Ireland. In 2013 he joined Technicolor in London where he was head of technology and development. He moved to Deluxe in London is 2015 as part of the joint venture between the two digital cinema business units at both companies. There he primarily focused on mastering solutions for digital cinema, and then eventually, the interoperable master format. There he acted as an internal consultant to the technical operations, client services and business development teams. Externally, there was also the need to consult the business’s premium studio clients.

MTI Film’s workflow software Cortex v5.2 has been officially certified to support Dolby Vision Content Mapping v4. Cortex can be used to apply Dolby Vision Content Mapping algorithms (v2 and v4) in preparing Dolby Vision interoperable master format packages, and when importing, exporting or modifying Dolby Vision XML and MXF files.

MTI Film Awarded U.S. Patent for Graphical Editing Solution for HDR Metadata

Dolby Vision Certification Awarded to Eurofins Digital Media Services New York

The New York facility of Eurofins Digital Media Services has been granted a Certification in Dolby Vision Quality Control Services. Eurofins is the first dedicated Dolby Vision quality assurance facility on the East Coast, meeting the growing demand for quality control and testing services in New York City.
