POV has acquired the feature documentary, Children of the Mist, directed by Vietnamese filmmaker Hà Lệ Diễm and produced by Trần Phương Thảo. Children of the Mist delves into the tradition of bride kidnapping still practiced by the Hmong, one of Vietnam’s largest ethnic groups. The American Film Institute has announced the dates for AFI Fest 2023. The 37th edition of the Institute’s annual festival will take place exclusively in person on October 25-29 at the historic TCL Chinese Theatre in the heart of Hollywood.
