German Theatres Embrace EclairColor

CinemaNext has announced that it has equipped 25 screens in 13 cinemas across Germany with EclairColor technology. In conjunction with these installations, Ymagis Group’s content services arm, Eclair, has overseen the EclairColor mastering of the film The Lost City of Z, which opens in cinemas in Germany March 30. The film from critically acclaimed director James Gray is distributed by StudioCanal in both Germany and France.

ÉclairColor Demoed in Hollywood

Representatives from the European digital cinema technology and services company Ymagis Group returned to Hollywood last week to give private demos of their ÉclairColor process at the Harmony Gold theatre on Sunset Boulevard. Presenting side-by-side clips from last year’s release The Neon Demon, they showed high dynamic range images with high contrast, deep blacks, excellent highlight detail and vibrant colors.

La La Land Releases in EclairColor in France

Ymagis Group today announced the EclairColor release of Liongate’s La La Land, which opens in cinemas across France January 25. Distributed by SND - M6 Group and directed by Damien Chazelle, La La Land, starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, will be available exclusively in EclairColor in the following cinemas: Gaumont Champs-Elysées (Paris, 8th arrondissement), Pathé Wepler (Paris, 18th arrondissement), Les Confluences (Varenne-sur-Seine) and Le Sirius (Le Havre).

EclairColor Gaining Momentum in France

Ymagis Group today announced its upcoming line-up of feature films available in EclairColor and the equipping of 14 EclairColor auditoriums in 11 cinemas in France. Following Aquarius, Brice 3, Iris and Voyage au Groenland, the following films are scheduled to be released in EclairColor in the first half of 2017: Olivier Assayas’ Personal Shopper (Les Films du Losange/CG Cinéma/), Dalida by Liza Azuelos (Pathé Films/Pathé Distribution), Serge Hazavanicius’ Tout là-haut (Rouge International/UGC Distribution), Très intime conviction by Claude Lelouch (Les Films 13) and Message from the King by Fabrice Du Welz (Entertainment One/The Jokers).

Brice 3 Releasing in EclairColor

A second feature film, Brice 3, has been re-mastered with Ymagis Group’s EclairColor digital color technology. The James Huth film starring Jean Dujardin, Clovis Cornillac and Bruno Salomone will be released in France on Wednesday and shown exclusively in EclairColor at the Gaumont Marignan cinema on the Champs-Elysées. The CinemaNext France teams have equipped one of the largest auditoriums at the Gaumont Marignan with EclairColor technology.
