Last month, three companies, MetaMedia Entertainment, Velocity Managed Services and Burbank post facility Pixelogic Media, formed a partnership to improve how digital cinema packages, key delivery messages and cinema advertising are produced and distributed over managed internet connections directly to exhibitors’ screens and dynamic digital lobby displays.
MetaMedia, Velocity and Pixelogic have formed MVP, a partnership between the three companies to deliver streamlined workflows and reduced cost in relation to the creation and delivery of content direct to theatres around the world. Harnessing the combined capabilities of each partner, MVP aims to improve how digital cinema packages, key delivery messages and cinema advertising are produced and distributed over managed internet connections directly to exhibitors’ screens and dynamic digital lobby displays.
CinemaNext has produced its own test Digital Cinema Package to allow cinemas to regularly test their digital projection and sound equipment to ensure they are in working order prior to reopening to the public. The company’s four test DCPs – one encrypted and three non-encrypted – are available to cinema exhibitors across Europe and internationally and can be downloaded free of charge via the EclairPlay content delivery platform at https://www.eclairplay.com/en_BEL/movies/cinemanext-test-dcp-package.
Arts Alliance Media is providing its Screenwriter Theatre Management System and software support to the Sundance Film Festival for the fourth consecutive year. Sundance Institute will use AAM’s Screenwriter TMS at six 2020 Sundance Film Festival screening locations across Park City, Salt Lake City and the Sundance Mountain Resort in Utah, from January 23 to February 2.
Arts Alliance Media has released new features and integrations to widely used theatre management system Screenwriter. The latest version provides AAM’s exhibitor customers with advanced automation options and support for the newest projectors and technology in digital cinema.
GDC Technology will be Cinemex’s exclusive provider of digital cinema servers for the calendar year 2019. Cinemex is Mexico’s second largest theatre circuit and operates 2,936 screens at 340 sites in 99 cities such as Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Toluca, Juarez, Leon, Tijuana, Mexicali, Puebla and other Mexican cities. The agreement involves the deployment of the GDC SR-1000 Standalone Integrated Media Block at all of Cinemex’s new construction projects in Mexico.
Arts Alliance Media announced today that they are significantly extending their technological partnership with the Cineworld Group, one of the world’s largest exhibition companies. Following Cineworld’s recent acquisition of Regal Cinemas in the USA, the exhibitor has decided to automate their scheduling and content management using Screenwriter in Regal Cinemas’ 7,361 screens, and expand Producer’s coverage across Cineworld’s entire portfolio, which includes Picturehouse, Cinema City, Cineworld, and Regal Cinemas. AAM will also provide third line technical support to the new sites.
Unique X has expanded its operations in South East Asia in a new deal with fast-growing Indonesian cinema chain, Cinemaxx. The agreement will see Unique X install RosettaBridge theatre management system, RosettaNet and Basekey key delivery message management systems across all 47 Cinemaxx sites, currently incorporating a total of 239 screens.
Showtime Cinemas, Taiwan, is automating their content management using Arts Alliance Media’s Screenwriter theatre management system. Local integrator Dacoms Technology is handling the installation.
