Christie has extended its Vive Audio line with the introduction of the LA2 premium screen channel loudspeaker and the LA3S-3ohm premium surround channel loudspeaker. The speakers continue the Christie Vive tradition of using ribbon-driver technology to provide perfect timbre matching, enhanced voice intelligibility and low distortion, helping exhibitors complete the experience for their movie-going audiences.
PVR, the largest multiplex chain in India, today announced plans to install Dolby Atmos in 50 of its cinema screens across the country over the next two years. When completed, this will be one of the largest rollouts of Dolby Atmos screens by any multiplex chain in India until now.
Ymagis Group and Austrian cinema exhibitor Cineplexx will equip up to nine additional Cineplexx auditoriums with Dolby Atmos immersive sound technology.

Barco has installed AP 24 Auro processors in Globe Theatres and Barasat Cinemas, two branches of the Arti Cinemas Group both located in Kolkata. Long-time Barco Partner R&S Electronics did the installation. Both cinemas are the first in Kolkata to be equipped with Barco’s Auro 11.1 immersive sound system.
Caribbean Cinemas has installed the Dolby Atmos sound format in six of their CXC premium theaters throughout the Caribbean and Puerto Rico.
Cinema 21 plans to install Dolby Atmos in 100 cinema screens over the next 18 months. Dolby Atmos has now reached the milestone of 200 screens installed or committed to in Indonesia, making it the country with one of the largest numbers of committed Dolby Atmos screens in the Asia Pacific region
