The Directors Guild of America recently completed a total renovation of its flagship motion picture exhibition space at the prestigious DGA Theatre in Los Angeles. Guided by a guild committee of six leading filmmakers, the renewal project has moved the 600-seat theatre to the forefront of cinema technology with the installation of custom-built Dolby Vision laser projection and a Dolby Atmos immersive sound system encompassing more than 70 Meyer Sound cinema loudspeakers.
Movie Tavern by Marcus is a premium theatre concept offering restaurant-style dining and in-seat service for moviegoers. At its new location in the Brookfield Square shopping center in suburban Milwaukee, guests can enjoy dinner and a movie in the premium SuperScreen DLX theatre. CinemaNext has completed the installation of Pathé Switzerland’s brand-new Pathé Spreitenbach multiplex, located near Zurich. Open to the public since May 9, the 10-screen cinema complex (1,322 seats) has been equipped by CinemaNext Switzerland with 4K laser phosphor projection, Dolby Surround 7.1 and three Dolby Atmos-enabled screens.
