Cineworld Group – the world’s second largest cinema exhibitor – has signed an agreement to acquire more than 1,000 Christie RGB pure laser cinema projectors. Cineworld has nearly 9,500 screens across 10 territories and will take delivery of the projectors beginning this summer.

Kinopolis Gruppe today announced that it has opened Germany’s first Dolby Cinema at the renowned Mathäser Palast in Munich. Cinionic has expanded its relationship with one of India’s fastest growing theater chains, Miraj Cinemas, and will upgrade Miraj’s fleet of theaters with Barco Smart and Flagship Laser projectors. In all 60 screens across 20 Miraj Cinemas’ Multiplexes will be upgraded including its Miraj Maximum, the largest movie theater screen in Delhi.
Cinergy Entertainment Group has opened four new auditoriums at its Odessa, Texas location representing 536 additional luxury reclining seats.
