Imax and Major Cineplex to Expand Partnership
Imax Corporation and Major Cineplex today announced plans to expand their partnership with an agreement for three new Imax with Laser locations. The deal will add systems to key locations across Thailand, including one in the bustling area of Bang Kapi, Bangkok—set to open in 2024—and two additional locations in Bangkok set to open in 2026 and 2027.

B&B Theatres selected GDC Technology’s SR-1000 Standalone Integrated Media Block with built-in cinema audio processor for the Red Oak luxury entertainment center. Ten of the auditoriums offer moviegoers GDC’s surround sound while the theatre’s two premium large format auditoriums, Grand Screen and Grand Screen with ScreenX will offer guests the ultimate audio experience featuring DTS:X for IAB immersive sound.

CinemaCon, the official convention of the National Association of Theatre Owners, is being held April 8-11 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Davis will be presented with this special honor at the Big Screen Achievement Awards ceremony taking place on the evening of Thursday, April 11, at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace and hosted by official presenting sponsor The Coca-Cola Company.
