The Space Cinemas, a division of Vue International, announce plans to bring Laser Projection by Cinionic to 114 screens across Italy. The move to laser is part of a larger initiative by The Space to reduce the overall energy consumption of theatres in line with Italy’s recovery plan. Laser projection is the green choice for cinema presentation technology today through lower electricity use, elimination of waste from consumables, and a smaller carbon footprint.
Arri has opened a new office in Rome to further promote and support the film and audiovisual industry in Italy. To celebrate this important milestone, an opening ceremony took place on May 3. More than 100 guests from the Italian film industry, including cinematographers, producers, directors, business partners, postproduction and rental professionals gathered to toast the new premises. The event was also attended by members of Arri’s global management team.

Manios Digital & Film has represented Cartoni products across the United States since 1989.
The Arcadia Cinema in Melzo, Italy, will present Avatar: The Way of Water with what the exhibitor says is the upgraded projection quality of the PLF Energia Screen. The screen will enhance the existing RGB laser system to reach 100,000 lumens on a 30 meters wide screen, the company said.
Unique X has announced a resale partnership with Italian cinema integrator Digima Srl. Based in Piemonte, Digima Srl will offer Unique X’s RosettaBridge TMS, RosettaNet CMS and BaseKey KDM services to the Italian exhibitor market.
