CinemaNext, French Cinema Exhibitor Megarama Announce Major Deal for Barco Laser Projectors

CinemaNext and French cinema circuit Megarama today announced a large-scale agreement for the sale and installation of a minimum of 110 Barco Laser projectors at 15 of the circuit’s current sites and upcoming new cinema builds through 2021. Per the agreement, CinemaNext will oversee the replacement of Series 1 digital projectors in all Megarama-branded cinemas located in France, Spain and Morocco.

Les Cinémas Pathé Gaumont Installs NEC Laser Projectors

Les Cinémas Pathé Gaumont selected NEC to provide a total of 13 laser projectors in its new theatre in La Joliette, Marseille. French cinema system integrator ADDE installed three NC3541L 4K RB laser projectors, designed for premium and large format screens, three NC2041L RB laser projectors, and seven NC1700L RB laser projectors for mid-sized screens, along with a range of lens options.

CinemaNext Completes Pathé Spreitenbach Multiplex

CinemaNext has completed the installation of Pathé Switzerland’s brand-new Pathé Spreitenbach multiplex, located near Zurich. Open to the public since May 9, the 10-screen cinema complex (1,322 seats) has been equipped by CinemaNext Switzerland with 4K laser phosphor projection, Dolby Surround 7.1 and three Dolby Atmos-enabled screens.

Mingalar Cinemas Installs JBL Sound System

Ymagis Group Reports First-Quarter 2019 Revenue

The Ymagis Group’s today reported an increase in revenue of 7.2 percent in the first quarter of 2019 following four consecutive quarters in decline. Thanks to robust equipment sales and its geographical expansion, CinemaNext recorded a 45 percent increase in revenue at €17.0 million, which more than offset the scheduled reduction in virtual print fee revenue.

CinemaNext to Equip New Saudi Arabia Cinema Brand Muvi

Systems integrator CinemaNext has reached an agreement with Saudi fashion retail giant Fawaz Alhokair Group for the installation of its first multiplex in Saudi Arabia under the new cinema brand Muvi. Scheduled to open in May at the popular Mall of Arabia in Jeddah, CinemaNext will equip the 15-screen multiplex (2,063 seats) with 4K laser projectors and state-of-the-art surround sound.
