Showcase Offering Unique Spider-Man Poster to One Lucky Fan

To celebrate the release of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Showcase Cinemas in the UK is giving a Spider-Man super-fan the chance to win a unique custom-made film poster. The artwork, created by Lewis Richards, 29, a manager at Showcase Cinema de Lux Nottingham, is on display in the foyer at the cinema, and is being offered as a one-of-a-kind prize for the ultimate Spider-Fan to win.

To celebrate the release of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Showcase Cinemas in the UK is giving a Spider-Man super-fan the chance to win a unique custom-made film poster. The artwork, created by Lewis Richards, 29, a manager at Showcase Cinema de Lux Nottingham, is on display in the foyer at the cinema, and is being offered as a one-of-a-kind prize for the ultimate Spider-Fan to win.The poster, which took more than 10 hours to create, depicts Spider-Gwen watching a film at a Showcase Cinema alongside Spider-Man and Miles Morales, eating popcorn and taking advantage of the luxury reclining seats.

As the poster is custom-made by a Showcase Cinema manager, there is nothing else like it available for fans to claim, meaning this is a truly unique piece of Spider-Man merchandise. 

Richards said, “I am so happy to see my artwork displayed at the cinema. I picked Spider-Gwen as the main focus for the poster as I wanted to give the character the opportunity to be in the spotlight – given the reception she had from the first film.

“I’ve been creating art for around seven years now, but this is my first film poster, so I feel very proud to have it displayed in the cinema that I work in and to be representing Showcase.”

He added, “I love the atmosphere the cinema brings. When you sit down ready to watch a big film, you can literally feel the air vibrating from the buzz. Working at Showcase gives me the opportunity to follow my passion for film, but I never thought I’d be able to bring my passion for art to work as well.” 

The winner will be selected June 15 and will be able to take home the custom piece, designed specifically for the release of the superhero sequel.

Jon Dixon, UK marketing director at Showcase Cinemas said, “It’s fantastic to have managers like Lewis, who are so passionate about the film industry, that they want to combine their own personal interests with their job. The poster looks incredible in the cinema lobby, and what makes it even more special is knowing that it’s a one-off and has been created exclusively for our cinema.”
